William Morris Collier, 75 passed peacefully at Gulf Coast Medical Center, Ft Myers, FL on December 25, 2020. Bill was born on July 12, 1945 in Indianapolis, IN to Walter Harold Collier and Rita Marie (Glick) Collier. He was a graduate of George Washington High School Class of 1964 and further attended IUPUI. Bill was a Marine Corp Veteran from 1965 - 1969 and served in VietNam. He was employed as a supervisor at GM Allison Gas Turbine and later retired from Rolls-Royce North American in 2000. Retirement took he and his wife Carol to Cape Coral, FL where they enjoyed boating, fishing and motor cycling. Bill was a Past Commodore of the NBS Boat Club. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, sister Sonja Ellis, brother-in-law Jack E. Showley. He is survived by his wife of 31 years Carol (Showley) Collier and his children Brian Collier and Tracey Andrews of Plainfield, IN, grandson Gabriel Morris Collier and his wife Rachel of Indianapolis, IN, and sister-in-law Sharon Showley of Newville, PA as well as several nieces and nephews. Bill was a wonderful, devoted, loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to so many and will be greatly missed. Bill lived by the motto "Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting Holy Shit! What a Ride !"
Bill's wishes were to be cremated and due to Covid concerns, by the family, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
