Dessie Caroline Whelpley born on May 1st, 1934.  She passed away peacefully on Dec. 13th, 2017 in Cape Coral, Florida.  Formerly of Jacksonville, FL where she lived for 50+ years. She came from humble beginnings during the depression from rural Georgia.  Carol was given the gift of determination, which gave her the ability to earn not 1 but 2 degrees - nursing and x-ray technician.  Caroline/Carolyn known to her friends, loved making new friends: whether it be in the grocery store line or on an airplane.  She loved cooking, decorating her home and her dogs, her fur babies.  She gave her life for her children. 
Survived by 2 children: William Whelpley of Texas and Alisha Jennings of Florida, Joann Whelpley- daughter-in-love. 3 Grandchildren: Blake Elliott Jennings of South Carolina; Matthew Thomas Whelpley and spouse Amber Whelpley of Texas; Colleen Whelpley McAdams and spouse Kevin McAdams of Texas.  2 Great Grandchildren: James Thomas McAdams and Connor William McAdams.  She will be deeply missed!
